To gain an idea of what revolution is

As I was reading Les Miserables today, I came upon this quote: “If you wish to gain an idea of what revolution is, call it Progress” (p. 322).

Frank Zappa once said that “Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.” Throughout history, there have always been those for whom progress was something to be feared and opposed. Progressive ideas have always been, and continue to be, resisted by the status quo. I believe that true revolutionaries are those innovative individuals who have the courage to reject established ideas and explore creative ways to advance humanity.
