Witchblade: Issue #4

Witchblade_Issue04I read issue #4 this morning as I drank my first cup of coffee. It was entertaining, which was just what I was in the mood for. I have to read and digest a lot of dense information for work, so sometimes I just want to lose myself in fantasy.

This installment has a great battle scene between Sara Pezzini and Ian Nottingham. The artwork is vivid and there are some two-page spreads that are stunning. As far as the storyline goes, there is nothing too drastic that occurs, except that we discover the power of the Witchblade is not limitless. Sara temporarily drains the gauntlet in her fight with Nottingham. There is also the appearance of a new character, who remains shrouded yet seems to know much about the mystical weapon.

I’m definitely enjoying this series enough to continue reading. I need to get issue #5 next. I’ll check at the local comic store to see how much they are charging for a print copy. I’d prefer to support them, but it really depends on how much they are charging. If it’s too much, I’ll have to get the digital version from Comixology.
