ODY-C: Issue 3

Well, this issue was extremely disappointing. In fact, I couldn’t even finish reading it. I found the writing so contrived and choppy that it almost made no sense whatsoever. In addition, the artwork, which was this comic’s strongest feature in the first two issues, is noticeably worse. There are “faces” which are nothing more than featureless blobs of flesh-colored ink.

At this point, I am discontinuing reading this comic. Frankly, it’s not worth my time or money. There are a lot better things out there to read.

Nooooo~ that’s too bad. 😦 I was really hoping this one was going to get better.

    • Hi Alex! I hope you are having a nice weekend.

Yes, I know you were hoping this would get better, but I have to be honest, it is failing in my opinion. It is sad because the concept was very creative, but they just couldn’t pull it off. Kind of like some bands I’ve been in over the years 😉

Things are good over here. It’s getting warmer, so yesterday I started prepping the garden beds to plant some vegetables for this year. We plan on getting seeds in the ground today. There’s something very spiritual and satisfying about growing food.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment on my post. I hope the rest of your weekend is nothing short of great.

My weekend has been really nice, thank you. 🙂

It’s slowly getting warmer over here, too. But, there’s an adage here: four steps forward, three steps back…. so, I’m expecting a couple more cold ones before I can officially call it spring. I can’t wait.

What are you planting? I try to grow veggies in my front yard, but the tomatoes always end up taking over, haha.

Also… you’ve been in bands?! Can I listen to the music somewhere? 😀

Too bad about the comic. Doubly too bad that the artwork is failing, too, because that was one of the main draws (since the writing was convoluted.)

        Best to you and yours!

      • Hey Alex. We grow all kind of stuff: asparagus, kale, lettuce, carrots, berries, etc. I have about 10 beds I think, so we rotate what we grow.

As far as bands, lol, yeah, there are some recordings buried out there in the internet. Here is a video clip of a band I was in up until last year. I’m the one in the shiny shirt playing lead guitar 😉 Please don’t judge too harshly.
